Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first-grade students come to school each day eager to learn, grow, and explore the world around them. However, many of children arrive hungry or without access to nutritious snacks throughout the school day. Hunger can make it difficult for young learners to focus, participate, and perform their best in the classroom.

This project will provide healthy snacks and food items for my students, ensuring they have the energy they need to stay engaged and successful.

Nutritious options such as granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, breakfast bars, and other kid-friendly snacks will help support their physical well-being while promoting concentration and learning.

For many first graders, a small snack can make a big difference. When students' basic needs are met, they are better able to focus on reading, writing, math, and building positive relationships with their classmates. Providing consistent access to healthy food also helps create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment where every child feels cared for and ready to learn.
