Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a place of dedicated learners. My students are a fantastic group of energetic kids who want to learn! Students come ready for school daily.

Most students are from a low-income community at our school, and over 75% of them receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Over 60% of them speak a language at home that is not English. I want them to feel loved! My students are engaged and want to learn about everything.

My Project

My students are superstars! They are showing up to school every day, ready to learn. They missed going to in-person school for all of the first grade and part of kindergarten. They love being at school now. Even with masks on, I can see the smile in their eyes.

I want to help my family with a variety of snacks and a bin to hold everything.

With almost all of my students qualifying for free/reduced lunch, these snacks will help both my students and their grown-ups. Parents would not have to worry about having a snack for their children after school. This is one less thing on my hard-working parents' shoulders. Thank you so much for supporting public schools.
