Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have not had the opportunity to explore origami with my students at my new school since prior to the pandemic. I would like to create an origami center for them to explore the ancient Japanese art of paper folding this May as we celebrate Asian/ Pacific Islander month. The books I would have on hand year round any time we want to do origami, they will be a terrific resource.
Art is a terrific tool in teaching students about the world and different cultures.
My students love learning through fun, hands on projects in the art room. Please consider helping support this little classroom centers project.
