My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds and are ethnically diverse. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Arabic. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are equally diverse in their academics. We are also home to a STEM program where our students conduct research and an award-winning Leadership team. We compete in Math Counts and different math competitions nationally.

We do have a variety of methods to reach each individual based on their level.

My Project

Privacy folders are one of the most used resources in our class. We use the private space for assessments or some need a quiet spot to learn. I've used my manila folders so much that they're falling apart, and I desperately need to replace them. My students come from different levels and different backgrounds. I use Google Forms for surveys, so I need privacy during assessments to not only help the wandering eye but to allow the student a thinking area. These are sturdy partitions that I know that will be used for many years to come. I can't tell you enough how much my students would appreciate new ones coming into our room.
