My Students

My students sometimes struggle sitting for long periods of time in the same position. Those students may ask if they can "sit around the room." I've noticed students are more productive if given a choice where to sit. Walking into my classroom, one might see students laying on the rug reading, sitting in a cubby with a clipboard, or studying underneath a table.

Providing flexible seating options have made a positive impact on individual learning.

My Project

To give my students additional seating options, to enhance their learning.

Flexible seating makes the classroom more "homey," so students enjoy coming to a comfortable place to learn and grow.

With the purchase of portable lap desks, students will be able to sit around the room without distractions from their table mates. The comfy chairs will be a great addition to our classroom library and make students eager to dive into a book. The exercise balls will help students expand their thinking by increasing stability and getting the wiggles out.
