Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a very lucky teacher to have such an awesome group of second graders. I was blessed enough to loop up with my students. We have been able to grow and bond over the last year. My students are tomorrow's leaders in the making. They have a hunger for learning and questioning.

My students are leaders and role models to other students in the school.

They also take these skills outside into the real world. They know the importance of being a good friend and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. My students come from all different backgrounds, and home lives.

They all receive free breakfast and lunch. They are an amazing group of kids that deserve the best education and classroom materials no matter their situation outside of school. I want school to be a safe zone, a place all students want to come and learn.

My Project

My students and I are in the works of transforming into a Personalized Learning Classroom. With the help of you, my students would be able to have a choice of where they will sit while they learn. Right now we have over sized desks for all students. They have no choice on where they sit. With this table and chairs, my students can have a choice on where to sit. They will be able to be learning on their level, what they want to learn. And with the table and chairs, they can be comfortable in where they are learning. If you are not comfortable, learning is less likely to happen. With the table and chairs,students will be on their way to greatness.
