This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Indiana recently passed a few laws in regards to schools and we are now being told we are unable to collect money from families for supplies going forward. While this sounds great on paper because it is saving our families money, our music classes are not receiving any extra help to offset the cost to keep our programs running! Typically, I would buy these supplies Oboe Reeds, using some of our school budget and heavily discount the items to our students to collect back at least some of the amount I spent. Since I can no longer do this, I am asking for as much help as anyone will give.

In order for all 300 students that are in our band program to be successful, we need basic supplies like these to make the great music our students are capable of making!
