Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been blessed to work with such amazing students who work so hard. My school is a Title I school 100% of the students get free lunch. I have a class of 26 amazing students that does nothing but inspire me to be the best teacher I can be. These kids make the best out of what we have and they never give up on learning with me. These kids go through so many challenges in their lives but fight like the Kirk Lions we are at school. They always amaze me every year and are so deserving!

My Project

Having a butterfly life cycle in our classroom along with the additional materials requested will help my students engage in rigorous activities through Language Arts, Science, Math, Music, and promote critical thinking and exploration.

This is going to make an impact on our learning because my students will be tackling on this project years after years.

These materials will be used over and over again as we begin to end the school year and jump into heavy reading and writing. This will strengthen their skills because it requires them to research, explore and engage in meaningful activities that capture their interest.
