My Students

Creative, curious, fun, energetic, and absolutely amazing...these are just a few words that describe my kindergartners! Despite a rough start to their first year in school, with students experiencing the effects of Hurricane Florence, they continue to keep a positive attitude and have adjusted well to the many changes they have faced! They enter the classroom each day eager to learn. What a pleasure it is to know that what they learn this first year in kindergarten will be built upon the rest of their lives!

My Project

Many items in my classroom had to be discarded after hurricane Florence due to mold. One of those items was our large learning carpet. We would love to have a new carpet to replace the one that was discarded. We would use this carpet for morning meeting time, book buddy time, math and reading lesson time, as well various other activities we do while sitting on the floor. I would also like to purchase some hands on language arts activities to replace ones that were destroyed. Each of the items requested would have a positive impact on learning for these kindergarten students!
