This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world," my students struggle on a daily basis trying to compete in a world where technology is everywhere and they have never had the chance to learn how to use the most advanced tools. We need your help to fulfill the dreams of Gandhi.
I have a great bunch of students!!
200 students come through my classroom everyday and work hard to compete in an environment that is increasingly electronic and they don't have access to any advanced technology. My students come everyday and work hard with outdated materials to learn and grow, they come from an impoverished area of southern California, where jobs are scarce and crime and violence seem to increasing daily.
My students struggle against this back drop to become different, to become the first member of their family to attend college and break the cycle. I need your help to provide them with the tools necessary to compete in this modern, technology based world!!!
My Project
Technology is the future!! The iPad is the cutting edge in today's educational institutions and there are many uses fro these devices in the classroom, my students have benefited from increased access to technology this year, we have 2 google tablets which are a great help. The iPad allows for more applications and ease of use, many of my students will never have access to these devices outside of my class, please help.
My class has evolved into a more interactive and self directed learning experience, students are active participants in their own learning, the use of QR codes and tablets have enabled my students to use technology in new and challenging ways, a new iPad will increase their skills and make them more passionate and life-long learners. iPads allow students to use their creativity and imagination to guide their own learning, the use of various apps and programs available with the iPad will allow my students to develop skills that will make them great.
Technology is the best way to create a life-long learner.
iPads allow for students to explore and experience learning at various levels, challenging them to test themselves and others. Your contribution to this project will give my students the tools to become life-long learners as well as empowering them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
