An Apple isn't very tasty until you are able to use your taste buds and actually taste it. So it is when you are performing a skill.If you can not actually see yourself doing it it is hard to process if it is correct or not. A Flip Camera would give us the opportunity to see ourselves in action.

I teach Physical Education to approximately 300 Kansas elementary school students.

Over 70% of the student population receives free or reduced lunch. They are great kids who want to succeed just like everyone else. I want to give them every opportunity to find that success.Technology is one way that allows them to do this.

My Project

My students deserve the best and I want to find a way to provide it for them. A Flip camera will allow my students and I to make videos of them to use as assessment pieces. It is much easier for a child to understand if they can see what you are talking about. This will also allow me to watch and assist more while going over skills and then assess at a later time. It will also allow me to share a of a video of a student with their parents, post video on our school web page and making demonstration videos to use in my lessons. Your support of this project will help to bring technology to our classroom and we thank you for that.

Just like my students and their parents at home, I face limited funds in my supply budget.

What little I do receive is used to replace broken equipment. Purchasing high dollar items is simply out of the question. A Flip will help children improve and find success. It has been said many times that the proof is in the pictures. I want to make that happen for my kids.
