Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flip-Flap! Happy faces in this space! My students have begun to get cabin fever with the Arctic freeze this month and they have asked for more books that engage them in silliness! These flip-flap books are so funny - you can make new animals or people by flipping the hats or the feet. I noticed that my students are quietly gathering in small circles and playing with the three flap books I have. I hear soft laughter in various spots in the library.

I am requesting more flip-flap/mix-and-match books to encourage my students to engage in positive conversations and appropriate socialization.

I am also requesting various SEL and positive emotion toys and fidgets to reward those who are interacting safely and playfully in the library.
