Help me give my students flexible seating options! Yoga blocks, yoga balls, and wobble cushions will give my students a variety of comfortable seating options to use around our classroom.
We are a STEAM school that serves inner city, high ability students. My students are creative, inquisitive, and eager to learn! We love hands-on, and engaging projects that force us to think outside of the box. Flexible seating allows us to do just that! We currently have pillows, a few bean bags, and cozy rugs.
Adding a variety of seating options will help to provide a comfortable environment for students to work independently or collaboratively.

My Project
We have flexible seating in our classroom, but we are limited on our seating options. Right now, we have pillows, a few bean bags, and cozy rugs. Flexible seating in our classroom has encouraged students to share space, supplies, and become experts at collaborating.
Adding yoga blocks, yoga balls, and wobble cushions to our room will help to make our classroom a comfortable, and relaxing learning environment.
Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive.
I hope that by offering more flexible seating options to my students, I will provide them the opportunity to feel more empowered and inspired to take control of their learning. Flexible seating will give students a choice and control over where they work, and who they work with.
