We have flexible seating in our classroom, but we are limited on our seating options. Right now, we have pillows, a few bean bags, and cozy rugs. Flexible seating in our classroom has encouraged students to share space, supplies, and become experts at collaborating. Adding yoga blocks, yoga balls, and wobble cushions to our room will help to make our classroom a comfortable, and relaxing learning environment. Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. I hope that by offering more flexible seating options to my students, I will provide them the opportunity to feel more empowered and inspired to take control of their learning. Flexible seating will give students a choice and control over where they work, and who they work with.
