Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the privilege of looping with my students from 4th to 5th grade this year!! They are amazing young scholars, all with unique needs and learning styles! When I purchased bouncy bands and wiggly seats last year for a few students who showed the need to move throughout the day, I noticed many of the students who had the self-control to sit still in their seats actually preferred not to. Many of my "best" behaved students used the bouncy bands more throughout the day than the ones I actually had purchased them for. This year I have been expand ways for all of my students to be able to move comfortably around the classroom to complete their assignments, and I have noticed that stools are definitely preferred to chairs by most students. Students also greatly prefer to have cushions in the hards seats provided by the school. This project will help increase the options available to my students.
