Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Flexible seating in a pre-k classroom would be fun to have. The students would have a lot of different choices on where to sit to complete an activity. It will give the students the power to learn in positions most comfortable to them. Since, pre-k students are vey young and new to school it will give them a chance to wiggle about in a more controlled environment. I would use the stools at the 'teacher table' and at the writing center. The floor seats would be used for enjoying a book or working on an iPad. I would plan on using the wobble cushions and the floor cushions during circle time! I think flexible seating is very inviting, fun and comfortable for the all the students!
