Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 21 amazing 3rd graders. My students live in different parts of Suburban New Orleans and come from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds. The students have different learning styles and needs.
In our classroom, we try to meet the needs of all students so they can access the regular classroom environment.
My desire is to make everyone feel safe in our classroom. Each student should feel welcomed and accepted by others. This is essential to learning and is emphasized starting on day one.
My Project
My students come to school ready to learn. Flexible seating can help give them options for comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable.
The exercise balls allow the students to sit, kneel or bounce while learning.
This project would help my students stay engaged in our learning throughout the day.
