I will teach up to 26 third graders, these 8-9 year olds have various academic and personal needs. I want the children to feel our classroom is safe and a fun learning environment. Most of my students have attended the same school but are moving up to a more rigorous grade. They are brave, creative, and full of life. My students love to be up and active. They need a positive learning environment. My students are sweet, caring children that want to learn but can get distracted. They need to be able to move around in a safe, effective way. My classroom is bright and cheery with lots of posters and standards visible. It contains tables instead of desks to give students the ability to have additional space. It is not a large room so the space is used strategically.
