My Students

My Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn. For some, school also provides a safe place. I work in a Title I school located in Holly Hill, Florida. My students are very diverse and come from different language backgrounds, including English and Spanish.

Innovations in classrooms are always taking place.

One very popular innovation is flexible seating. I would love to be able to create a new learning environment for my students. I want students to enjoy their classroom.

My Project

The way teachers set up their classroom is changing. Many teachers are now using flexible seating, and I would like to be one of them! Flexible seating can increase student participation as they feel they have more control of their learning. Not all students learn best by sitting in a normal desk, and flexible seating allows them the flexibility to learn in different settings.

This project will help to add variety to the flexible seating options in my classroom.

New flexible seating will bring excitement to the classroom. Students will love having a new space to learn and grown. With they are excited, learning truly takes place.
