My Students
Hello y'all! I teach at a mid to lower income school where I am privileged to teach sweet kindergarten friends. My students mean the absolute world to me! Unfortunately, my school does not get a lot of extra funding because we fall just short of the Title I qualifications. I created a DonorsChoose project last year and began this year with flexible seating. Unfortunately, I did not order everything I will need for additional students in the upcoming school year. This year, I was lucky to have enough seats for my 18 friends, however, that will not be the case for next year. I will have more students and would love to have enough to have 6 at each table. Flexible seating has been more than I could have hoped for and my students have loved it! It truly makes learning more engaging, fun and allows them to sit in a seat based on their preference. I would be absolutely thrilled if I could add enough so that all students will be able to sit in a seat of their choice no matter the class size. Thank you so much for your support!
My Project
These have already made a HUGE difference for my students. I am requesting additional seating to provide enough for each table. I currently have a floor table with cushions, a yoga ball table, a stools table and a wobble cushions table! As of now, I only have enough for 4-5 people to sit at each table. I created a DonorsChoose project last year and received enough for my students at the time. Unfortunately, my class size will be growing and I would like ALL students to have the opportunity to sit at a seat that will best fit their learning needs.
