Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how thoughtful, caring, and eager to connect my upper elementary students are. During our social‑emotional learning and kindness lessons, students in grades 3–5 enjoy sharing their ideas, listening to different perspectives, and working together to build positive relationships. They benefit from learning environments that feel calm and welcoming and help them focus on connecting with one another.

These flexible seating tables and accompanying stools will be placed in our campus SEL lab, a space used for social‑emotional learning and kindness lessons.

The SEL lab gives students a chance to step away from the traditional classroom setting and focus on developing important skills such as empathy, communication, self‑awareness, and responsible decision‑making. The tables and stools will provide comfortable spaces where students can participate in group discussions, reflection activities, and collaborative learning.

Each resource supports students by promoting comfort, collaboration, and focus. Flexible seating helps upper elementary students feel more at ease and encourages active participation during SEL lessons. By learning in the SEL lab, students can strengthen peer relationships, practice kindness, and build problem‑solving skills while growing socially and emotionally.
