Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have some amazing students who love learning. My students work very hard each day to focus and do their best with math. They are very kind to one another and enjoy helping their classmates. Today they were giving each other high fives for getting the problems correct after struggling! They love helping each other and teaching each other. My students and I have a very caring and loving classroom. We believe in helping each other become better mathematicians in a loving community. We also believe in always doing our best and never giving up!

My Project

Have you ever had to sit in a hard desk all day and focus on your work? Well, my students do not enjoy sitting in their hard desk and they're able to focus more when they have comfortable seats that all movements. I started flexible seating two years ago and am trying to add new seating to the classroom that will allow my students to move while learning. The seating will also help the students to focus while also releasing some of their energy. It's very hard to focus when you're not comfortable or when you're hurting from sitting. This project will help my students focus better which will also help them to learn easier! My students will also enjoy coming to school more by having comfortable seats and fun seats I'm the classroom.
