Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help our class acquire flexible seating to move around comfortably and learn. Not all students learn the same way, in a standard, upright chair. Many of our students prefer to use flexible seating, to have the means to move around and not feel confined. If we acquire these awesome wiggle stools, the students are going to be eager to use them. They are easily lifted to form groups, and students will have the independence to be able to create their own groups. We will be able to work together to solve problems and work on projects together.
We are also asking for a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers to purchase online Social Emotional resources that will directly benefit the students.
Resources include activities and lessons about Restorative Justice, community circles and the Tribes SEL program to support students emotionally.
