Flexible Seating to Flex Our Brains

Help me give my students flexible seating to allow them to meet their individual needs in order to be able to focus on small group reading instruction.

My Students

My students come to me with varying reading abilities. Most of them have some type of reading disability so learning to read is difficult for them. However, my students are eager to learn about the world around them and even more excited about learning how to read.

My students are hard workers and give their best every day to overcome any reading challenges that come their way!

I get the opportunity to help my students overcome their reading difficulties and watch them grow into successful readers! Together, in small groups, we work hard to learn to read so we can read to learn!

My Project

The students that come to me receive reading interventions in a small group to assist them in gaining their reading skills. Students who have a reading/learning disability can also have a hard time sitting still and focusing.

I would like to offer an alternative seating arrangement for my students who need to wiggle in order to be able to stay focused on instruction.

If this project is funded, I will be able to purchase 6 wobble stools to be used by all my students in all my groups. The wobble stools allow for controlled movement (fidgeting) while allowing students to focus in on instruction.
