This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 90 7th grade students in Flushing, Queens from diverse backgrounds and needs. I teach general education and special education- so the levels of my students vary greatly. A lot of my students have trouble focusing, need to get up and move frequently, and like kinesthetic learning options.
The grey chairs will be a wonderful addition to our reading nook area and for flexible seating during class time.
The clipboards will help them write while sitting in a fun, new seat! The erasable pocket folders and expo markers will be helpful for interactive class activities and practicing annotating skills in ELA. The privacy partitions will help them focus during independent work. All of these materials will help them greatly!
