This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have set goals to read more books in 2023. While I am implementing a 20 to 30 minute reading break every day for them, they have stated how they wish they had a reading nook area with flexible seating options. Students are currently reading at their desks or on the floor by their reading corner. Having these seats as an option will provide for a more comfortable reading session. These seats will also enrich the classroom's environment to the point where students will not want to stop reading due to comfortability!
