This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 9th through 12th graders in an Emotional Support Classroom. Students all have a variety of behavioral needs in the classroom. Some students need assistance with regulating their emotions, compliance, staying on task, and completing work. I have begun working towards creating a variety of flexible seating options in the classroom setting. Adding this high-top table and stools will give the students another choice in how they are learning. By giving the students a variety of seating options, they can learn what works best for them. This will teach them self-advocacy skills to use in their education but also take those skills in the real world.
