My Students
My class is a fun, loving, and hard working class. They all have struggles in their personal lives but what I love most about them is that when they come to school they leave that all behind and try their best! They all have goals in life and dreams they want to fulfill. As their teacher, I want to give them the opportunities they deserve to succeed. Every day they greet me with a hug and are excited to see what they will be learning today!
My Project
We expect our students to be 100% focused in the classroom at all times. Many students need the stimulation and opportunity to get up and move. With the use of flexible seating students are given the choice of how they want to learn for the day. They are able to release their energy in a positive way. Many of my students do not get an opportunity to be active which leads to them fidgeting in class. Flexible seating will be their way of being active while still on task and focused in the classroom. Flexible seating will give kids the power to make decisions in the classroom on how they want their day to go. It will give them more choice in their education.
