Hi! My name is Claudia Gallardo. I am a Second grade teacher at MVES. This is my second year teaching, and I could not be more excited to come into school every day, and teach my students. As a new teacher, I want to ensure I am making their second grade experience one they will remember. I challenge myself to think outside of the box and serve as an advocate for my students.
In my classroom, you will see students that are excited to be at school, creative, helpful and full of heart.
They come to school and are thrilled to learn something new and grow as learners. My students are intrigued to create, investigate something new and try something for the very first time in their lives. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and we work hard to meet their needs inside and outside the classroom. I believe in creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere where my students can be themselves, and not be afraid to make mistakes.
My Project
The students in my classroom would benefit from Flexible Seating for many reasons. First, my students would have the ability to choose where they would like to learn and change the way they learn in the classroom. I think this is a great way to motivate the students to think outside of the box and have fun while they are working. The flexible seating requested includes plastic stack stools, balancing balls, and Hedge Hog balancing pods.
Flexible seating in my classroom will also allow students to be more creative, work collaboratively, and share ideas.
Flexible seating in the Second grade classroom will help the students be more focused, be more engaged and have choice in what they are doing.
