Your support has done far more than simply help us reach a financial goal—it has touched the hearts of our students, strengthened their belief in themselves, and reminded them that there are people in the world who truly care about their growth and future.\r\n\r\nWhen we first began this fundraiser, we hoped to gather enough support to provide our students with better learning materials, enriching experiences, and opportunities that would help them grow academically and personally. What we received, however, was something even greater: a powerful message of encouragement. Your contribution shows our children that their dreams matter, their education matters, and they matter.\r\n\r\nMany of our students come to school with challenges or worries that are not always visible. Some struggle with confidence, others with motivation, and some simply need reassurance that their efforts and goals are worth pursuing. Your donation does more than purchase supplies or support activities—it lifts their spirits, strengthens their belief in what they can achieve, and reinforces that they are surrounded by a community that believes in their abilities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has already made a noticeable difference. With the support from this fundraiser, we are able to create a cleaner, healthier, and more supportive learning environment. Our students will have access to better resources, nutritious snacks that keep them energized during the school day, organizational tools that help them stay focused, and special projects that encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. These improvements might seem small on the surface, but to a child, they can change everything.\r\n\r\nA child who has access to simple things—like clean supplies, a comfortable workspace, or a healthy snack—can focus more deeply, express ideas more confidently, and participate more fully in lessons. Your generosity allows us to provide those small but powerful tools that help our students reach their learning goals with pride and determination.\r\n\r\nMore importantly, your kindness teaches them a life lesson that cannot be taught from a textbook: the importance of compassion and community. When students see that someone they may never have met chose to invest in their future, it gives them a sense of belonging and hope. It shows them the impact that kindness can have and inspires them to one day give back to others in the same way.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students are stepping into their learning journey with excitement, motivation, and a renewed sense of purpose. They are eager to use the opportunities you helped create, and they understand that behind those opportunities stands someone who believes in them.\r\n\r\nThank you for being that person.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a meaningful and lasting difference—not just in their education, but in their lives. We are sincerely grateful for your generosity, your belief in our mission, and your willingness to help our students grow into confident, capable, and inspired learners.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt appreciation,","fullyFundedDate":1759339629728,"projectUrl":"project/we-dont-just-grow-our-mindswe-grow-our/9704033/","projectTitle":"We Don’t Just Grow Our Minds—We Grow Our Hearts","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Brady","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9597735_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757607906960","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9597735"},{"teacherId":7787108,"projectId":9360648,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donations to our classroom fund. These materials—including place value magnets, symbol magnets, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card—have made a significant difference in both the way I teach math and how my students engage with it.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful resources we received was the set of place value magnets. For young learners, understanding the concept of place value is foundational, but it can also be abstract and challenging. These magnets gave my students a concrete, hands-on way to explore numbers. They could physically build and break apart numbers, move digits around to see how values change depending on their place, and experiment with regrouping. I saw a noticeable improvement in their number sense and confidence when working with two- and three-digit numbers. Activities that used to be confusing became fun and interactive, and students were excited to participate.\r\n\r\nThe symbol magnets—featuring addition, subtraction, equal, and inequality signs—added another layer of interactivity to our lessons. During math centers and whole group instruction, students were able to construct and solve their own equations using the magnets. This tactile approach helped my students better understand operations and the relationships between numbers. It was especially beneficial for my visual and kinesthetic learners, who thrived when given tools that supported their learning styles. Math became less intimidating and more like solving puzzles.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allowed me to access high-quality, differentiated math resources tailored to my students' needs. I was able to purchase engaging activities, games, and assessments that aligned with our curriculum but offered a fresh approach. These materials helped me meet my students at their individual levels—whether they needed extra support or were ready to be challenged further. The ability to customize lessons with creative, teacher-tested resources enriched our classroom instruction and brought new energy to our math block.\r\n\r\nBeyond the academic benefits, these resources have also positively impacted the classroom environment. Students are more engaged, collaborative, and enthusiastic about learning math. They feel empowered when they can physically manipulate numbers and symbols, and they're developing a stronger mathematical vocabulary and problem-solving skills. It's also given me more tools to assess understanding in real time and adjust my teaching accordingly.\r\n\r\nIn a classroom where every minute and resource counts, these donations made a real and lasting difference. Thank you for investing in my students and supporting their growth. Because of your generosity, my first graders are building a stronger foundation in math—and more importantly, they're discovering that learning math can be exciting, accessible, and even fun.","fullyFundedDate":1746785409144,"projectUrl":"project/place-value-for-first-graders/9327773/","projectTitle":"Place Value for First Graders!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Soto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7787108_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630335189731","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/michellesoto"},{"teacherId":9518057,"projectId":8325741,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous gift. With titles ranging from engaging picture books to exciting chapter stories, every student has been able to find something that sparks their interest.\r\n\r\nThe day the books arrived was pure joy. Students swarmed around the boxes, eager to peek inside and be the first to read certain titles. Some immediately started making \"to-be-read\" lists with their friends, while others began reading right on the spot. One student held up a book and exclaimed, \"This one's mine after recess!\"—and sure enough, there was a little line forming behind them. It was a beautiful reminder that access to the right books can turn even reluctant readers into eager ones.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll be using these books to launch small reading groups where students can discuss stories, share favorite parts, and make connections to their own lives. The colorful bulletin boards and alphabet displays have made our walls come alive, giving students daily visual reminders and references that support both reading and writing. Even something as simple as the fresh supply of paper has opened the door to more creative projects without the worry of running out of resources.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was the day the materials arrived. My students immediately began exploring the rolling carts, testing the drawers, and imagining how we could use them for different subjects. Several students volunteered to help set up the bulletin boards, carefully choosing what to display first. Their excitement was contagious—one student even said, \"It feels like we have a brand-new classroom!\" The pride they took in arranging and caring for the new materials was a wonderful reminder of how much environment impacts learning.\r\n\r\nWith these resources now in place, we're diving into our next big classroom projects. Students will be using the paper and bulletin boards to create a rotating \"learning showcase\" where they display work from current units in math, reading, and science. The rolling carts will store ongoing project materials so groups can pick up exactly where they left off without losing time searching for supplies.
