My Students
Welcome to my Kindergarten classroom! My classroom is filled with amazing children! For many of them, this is their first experience in a classroom setting. They come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some children know how to read and some who don't know how to hold a book. It is my job to provide a positive learning experience for ALL of them. My classroom is a space filled with joy, encouragement, and learning! We enjoy working together in small groups and participating in hands-on experiments and activities.
My Project
Wobble chairs would make an excellent addition to our classroom. What is a wobble chair? A wobble chair is a simple seat designed to allow movement when children are required to sit. It will allow rocking from side to side, front to back, or anywhere in between. Here are some reasons why we need them!
First, wobble chairs can help calm "the wiggles." Wobble chairs encourage movement and allows fidgety students to focus on the lesson, rather than the challenge of sitting still.
Second, wobble chairs can help improve posture. Wobble seats allow for freedom of movement and provide support for children while also making them engage their core to stay sitting upright. Third, wobble chairs can help develop trunk control. Children with physical disabilities can also benefit from sitting on flexible seating options as they work to develop better trunk control. The body of a wobble chair is very stable and has soft padding to prevent slipping.
