My Students

Our class is a community of young, energetic learners from Haiti, Cuba, Uzbek , and Russia. Although learning English is a challenge, we always strive for success.

Building strong relationships is the foundation of my classroom.

It is important that my students feel supported, loved, challenged, and most importantly like they have a voice that is heard! As their teacher, it is my responsibliity to create an environment where this foundation can easliy fall into place to create lifelong learners.

My Project

Flexible seating provides students with a choice when finding their best-fit workspace. Young learners often have difficulty sitting still in a traditional table and chair set-up. When students are comfortable, learning becomes more engaging.

Having choice allows students to play an active role in their learning.

With Flex-Space Cozy Workspace Bundle my students can choose to curl up with their favorite book and read, they can participate in meaningful collaborative converstaions with their peers while doing group work, or sprawl out and work thorugh some math activities. Providing this couch and chair workspace will help to build the strong foundation that is needed to create these lifelong learners!
