My Students

I am starting my second year of teaching, with 22 active and excited learners. My school is a Title I School, where more than 1/3 of students receive free or reduced lunch. This group of students has a wide variety of needs. I want to create a safe and comfortable space for them to learn and explore.

Having flexible seating options will help my students remain engaged and focused in any subject throughout the day.

I know this project will help promote a welcoming and organized learning community.

My Project

All of the items in this project already have a home in my classroom! By that I mean, I already know where they are going to be used. The stools will be used to help students stay focused during reading and math groups. The bench, chair and cushions will be put in our reading nook to help students find a comfortable place, in order to really dive into a great book!

These items will all be used to help create an engaging environment that can foster a love learning!

Every item will be important in creating the classroom they need.
