My students are active, creative, driven, and ready to conquer the road ahead. We are from a small town in Louisiana, where, like most, funds are limited. Our school is composed of only the fourth and fifth grades, with eighteen classrooms. Our students come to us from two different feeder schools in our area, giving us a very diverse student population. We serve a large population of military families and families from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students are incredible and inspiring and will change the world one day!
They have goals, dreams, and aspirations for this school year. I know they can accomplish anything, but it is my hope to make sure they have all the resources needed to do that! This year, our goal is to unlock our potential, so that we may be the best we can be!
My Project
My students are always eager to learn. However, sitting through a lesson can sometimes be difficult for students. I find when given the choice of where to work, students are able to take charge of their learning and make a choice that works best for them.
My goal is to give my students the opportunity to choose their seating so that they may be more engaged and less disruptive while they work.
Currently the only choice I have for my students are standing behind their desks or sitting on the floor. I hope to bring them a variety of work options to lessen disruptions and promote a better learning environment.
The chairs I have selected will help my students who are more active and tend to wiggle in their seats. Because some students just need to move while working, these chair should help them stay focused while getting their wiggles out.
