Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have twenty-four third graders in my class. My students are hardworking individuals who come to school with their own personal struggles and strengths.
My students have unique interests and love to be involved with school projects and events.
My students love to use Chromebooks and enjoy library time.
I have several students with learning disabilities who learn in different ways and at their own pace. Many of my students are on track for College and Career Readiness on Achieve3000. I am so proud of all my students!
My Project
Many of my students have learning disabilities, and certain seating preferences are beneficial to their learning. These materials will help these students be more engaged in the classroom. For example, with a beanbag seat and balance ball seat, students who need to move around more will have more options than with a stationary chair.
Because all students learn and interact in unique ways, these flexible seating materials will make a difference in the learning environment of my classroom.
Library time is a fun and engaging time during the day, and, with these materials, I will have more seating options for all students. Students will be more comfortable and better able to focus on lessons, stories, and using technology.
