My Project
The New York Times published a recent article, It’s ‘Alarming’: Children Are Severely Behind in Reading, stating “Several new studies now show that about a third of children in the youngest grades are missing reading benchmarks, up significantly from before the pandemic.” The learning conditions during the COVID-19 Pandemic have greatly impacted student reading achievement, a key component that influences student success in other subjects. I would like to provide my students with an environment that inspires, motivates, and encourages them.
My students need a learner-centered classroom that will maximize high standards of understanding, motivation, and achievement for all students.
Needed: soft seating, creating comfortable spaces that help students focus.
