Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The middle school students I teach are inquisitive and active learners. Bean bag chairs, chair bands, lap desks, and yoga ball chairs will provide my high-needs students with the opportunity to self-regulate and encourage success in the classroom. The flexible seating resources I am requesting for my learners with special needs will allow them to thrive in a comfortable learning environment.
Providing students with optional flexible seating promotes engagement in the classroom.
Flexible seating also promotes a positive classroom environment and enhances collaborative learning. Giving students seating choices will enable them to practice their self-advocacy skills, which will in turn improve their learning and overall performance in the classroom, leading to greater success.
