I am a teacher at an alternative program for middle school and high school students. All of my students qualify for Special Education services, most under the label of "Emotional Disturbance." My class is self-contained, which means the students are in my classroom all day long and I teach all of their classes, from English to Biology to Business Management; I also teach them Art, even though I am not an Art teacher! One of the classes I teach is Art--I am not a certified Art teacher and do not have a lot of talent in this field. However, my students are extremely interested in Art and are always looking for new projects to do. With our limited budget and my limited expertise, I am not currently able to meet my students' needs in Art. Your donation will go towards funding projects that my students are interested in completing and I am capable of teaching.
