My students are incredible young people. In the Think Room, my students are responsible for creative problem solving and thinking outside the box. I present challenges to them that they must solve involving everything from science to engineering and math.
My students impress me everyday with their willingness to keep trying no matter how much they are struggling with a task.
We create a warm and supportive environment for them at our school and they flourish here. Many of them go home to an empty house after school because their parents are working hard to make ends meet. We want to provide our students with the tools they need to be successful in life.
During my summer break, I spent time refinishing several tables for my room. The only problem now is my students have no where to sit!
I want to use flexible seating, like these balance balls, in my classroom to give my students the opportunity to find the best type of seat for their learning.
I have seen flexible seating in action and I know it is just what my classroom needs to take us to the next level. Flexible seating is also important in my room because I teach every grade level. My students need to be able to find that special seat that just might unlock their learning.
