My Project

I am moving into a new 5th-grade classroom, which was once the computer lab at my school. This makes it a very unique space, but it doesn't have all of the classroom furniture and resources needed to make the classroom feel like a home away from home.

When a classroom has a variety of learning spaces that include flexible seating options, it can inspire creative thinking and empower students to make choices in how they like to learn.

With the furniture and resources provided in this project, students will be able to work in small groups or independently. They will also have opportunities to work while standing up, sitting on the floor, and everywhere in between.

When a classroom has flexible seating and a variety of learning spaces, students can share their thinking and collaborate easily. When a classroom is organized in this way, it promotes connection and inquiry, and students become more engaged thinkers and learners.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
