My Project

All students are like unique puzzle pieces, and I have the pleasure of putting the pieces together and creating a learning environment that tailors best for each student's individual learning style.

I want to create a classroom environment where my students are able to choose which type of seating works best for them to help maintain their focus.

One way that I can create a differentiated learning environment is to provide flexible seating where students can choose where they learn best. Who wants to sit still in a seat for a whole school day? In classrooms today, there are many students who are unable to sit still and focus. While I have brain breaks throughout the day where students can get up, move around, laugh with each other, and play, that is only for about five minutes.

We need different types of flexible seating that will allow students the option to move around the room and won't disrupt the learning environment that I have created in the classroom. These desks options allow students to choose any spot in the classroom for students to learn and work to their potential.

When you donate to this project, you will be helping our classroom. By giving students the option to find a seat anywhere in the classroom, they will become engaged in their learning which will promote academic success! They will be able to get their wiggles out while maintaining focus and completing their assignments. These surf desks will be used for years to come. They will also help create a flexible seating classroom where there is a variety of seating options that students can choose what works best for them for a more engaging learning experience!
