I teach 4th and 5th grade at an elementary in Waterford, Michigan where 60% of our students received free or reduced lunch. I have students of many races and cultures.
My students are eager to come to school each day.
They love learning and collaborating together. Together we influence each other.
My students enjoy hands on learning. They love to be creative and innovative. They are smart and capable kids who deserve the best opportunities! I am so lucky to work alongside them every day.
My Project
I want my classroom to be an inviting, comfortable place for all students. Not all students learn the same way. I would like to add flexible seating options into my classroom to meet the needs of all learners.
Students will have the option to utilize different seating choices throughout the classroom.
These opportunities will help increase motivation and engagement, as well as help students identify how they learn best.
Traditional classrooms are a thing of the past. Recognizing that students need different options to learn will help support the success of all students! Choice and flexibility matter for kiddos, too!
