Thanks for supporting my dream and mission to meet each student at his or her level in order to grow their knowledge, expertise, and love of learning. Brain Pop ended up being too advanced in Science and Social Studies for my 3rd grade learners, so the helpers at Brain Pop were able to switch my new subscription to Brain Pop Jr. which is much more suitable for my 8 and 9 year old students. \r\n\r\nBrain Pop Jr. has already engaged my students in Science and Social Studies in many ways. First, the videos are engaging and presented in a cartoon with lots of questions that are answered. The visuals are dynamic and comedic, which always encourages students' engagement. What has been a game changer for us is the options for easy or hard quizzes after each video to assess what was learned or to address any misconceptions that students had, and learn from the mistakes. I administer the quiz whole group and each student shows me a sign language A,B,C, or D to vote on the answers. If the answers are correct, the character Moby (which is a robot) comes on the screen and dances. If it is incorrect, we get another chance to vote on a new answer. \r\n\r\nI hope you can feel the excited gratitude we have for our new learning experiences!
