My Students

My students are curious and caring individuals. They are willing to try new things and understand that failure leads to success. They are self-directed learners and highly motivated to be successful. They thrive on relationships and stability.

We are a trauma-sensitive school with an emphasis on relationships, rigor, and social and emotional learning.

Some of our students lack basic resources and opportunities outside of school. In the classroom is where those needs can be met and opportunities and experiences can be presented. My students LOVE hands-on activities and working with groups. With supports, they are all capable of success. They are truly special to me and have changed my life forever.

My Project

These wobble seats will be put at the student's​ desk so they can have movement at their desk throughout instruction. This style of seating will allow high-energy students to move around during instruction and release some of their energy without missing instruction.

Some students have special and specific needs that can be met in the general education classroom.

It is my vision that with these wobble seats we will be able to meet those specific needs within these students least restrictive environments. We have access to some flexible seating throughout our building for some students but I would love to accommodate all students who need it.
