My Students

Greetings, potential donors! My name is Mrs. S and I am a middle school teacher. My first four years of teaching were at the elementary level, and I am starting my first year as a middle school social studies teacher.

The school where I teach is a Title I school, with roughly 60% of the students on free and reduced lunch.

While the school has made huge successes over the past few years, there is always room for improvement.

I will be teaching roughly 100 7th grade students in a social studies classroom.

My Project

My students are in need of flexible seating so my students can focus on learning, instead of feeling uncomfortable and bored.

Students sit in hard plastic chairs for seven hours a day.

No wonder they get antsy and lose focus, I would too! With flexible seating, they can aim their attention at the lessons at hand, instead of how sore their bottoms are feeling.

Some students need to release some energy, which is why the stability ball will be a great gateway to unwind and 'bounce it off.'

The stools are a great way to fix poster, sit up, and pay attention to all the fantastic things going on around them. The standing desks are for those students that just can't seem to sit any longer! They can stand or lead while taking in all there is to learn.
