My Students

I am an elementary teacher of 21 creative, caring, inquisitive, and energetic students. They love to learn just as much as I love to teach!

This is probably the nicest group of students I have ever had in my teaching career.

They genuinely care for each other and take good care of each other. There is a pretty diverse level of skill amongst the students both academically and emotionally. Some students have difficulty staying focused throughout the day due to their sensory needs.

My Project

Many of my students have specific plans in which they need to be able to take motor breaks throughout the day. My classroom is one of the smallest rooms in the building, and this can be challenging for these students.

Having these wiggle seats for these students to use will help them get their energy out and their work done.

Instead of having to get up and leave the classroom to take their motor break, they can do this while they are working. This way, their learning will not be interrupted and they can work on sustaining their focus for longer periods of time.
