Flexible Seating for Cooperative Learning!

Help me give my students more flexible seating options to work around the room and not only at their desks. They LOVE to move around and usually work more cooperatively when they do!

My Students

My fourth graders are always ready for fun, interactive activities in math, science, and health class! As a high poverty/ low-income district, my students face various challenges on a daily basis but still come to school every day and give it their best.

My students are energetic, ambitious, and always excited to see what activities I have planned for them.

They love collaborating with others, exploring new ideas, trying new strategies, and sharing their solutions! My goal is that my students stay eager to learn as they continue to grow into successful individuals.

My Project

Flexible seating is used daily in our classroom. The students work so much better when they are comfortable and able to move around the room.

Some flexible seating we have in the classroom (a few balance balls, 1 wobble chair, and a couple seat cushions) are always requested to be used by multiple students, and while it teaches some compromising, we just don't have enough fun flexible seating in the room for all of the students!

I would love to give the students more seating options when they are working. Please help us gain more flexible seating to stimulate the students' minds and encourage cooperation and teamwork when taking part in group projects around the classroom!
