My Project

My students thrive when they can collaborate, move, and engage with one another—but our current classroom setup makes that difficult. Traditional desks are heavy, fixed in place, and limit opportunities for meaningful group work. I am requesting individual student desks with wheels that can be easily rearranged to support both independent learning and collaborative, round-table discussions.

With mobile seating, students will be able to quickly transition from focused, individual tasks to small-group collaboration.

This flexibility encourages communication, teamwork, and active participation—skills that are essential for success both inside and outside the classroom. Instead of spending valuable instructional time moving furniture, students can seamlessly shift into groups and stay engaged in learning.

These desks will help create a more inclusive and responsive classroom environment. Some students learn best through discussion and peer interaction, while others benefit from having a defined personal workspace. Mobile desks allow me to meet both needs by adapting the classroom layout throughout the day.
