Flexible Seating and Snacks for Autism Classroom

My Students

I teach a special class for children who have autism. One of my students expressed how he felt about school by saying, "My heart, my heart, school is my heart." My students need extra support with writing, math, language arts, accessing technology, social skills, functional skills and behavioral skills. Our school is located in a rural, low-income area of the state. My students come to school each day excited and ready to learn. I want to provide them with everything they need to be successful.

My Project

I am asking for Cando Ball Chair flexible seating, to give my students options of where they want to sit. Many of my students have ADHD and flexible seating will help them find the perfect place for them. Ball chairs are a great option to help students use their excess energy so they can focus on learning. I'm asking for Snack food like Pepperidge Farm Gold Fish crackers and Healthy Helpings Animal Crackers to help students get through the later afternoon hours when stomachs start to growl. Snacks will help students stay focused on learning. I'm also asking for edible treats like M&M's, Skittles, and Gummy Bears, making it fun and motivating for students to earn treats for a job well done.
