Help me give my students flexible seating options and items to help with their social emotional learning. Ways to help release that excess energy, calm anxiety, and focus on their learning.

My Students

My learners are all unique and have different learning styles, but one thing that they have in common is movement. We love to move around, do hands on projects, stretch our creative minds, and use technology to enhance our learning experience.

Our classroom is one that is full of flexible seating options, but is looking for new options to meet the needs of students better.

We love our fun seats, what we call them, and get to use them as much as we can throughout the day.

Problem-based and project based learning is big for our classroom! We enjoy getting hands on experience when we can, but creating mini projects that go along with our units work too!

My Project

These items will be helpful to students in many ways, but the most important is to give them a release of energy to help them tune in and refocus. Flexible seating allows students the ability of choice in what they need, personally, in order to accomplish a task. By providing additional seating options, students have different ways that they can move to release excess energy to keep them focused or help them to refocus on their learning.

SEL is very important, especially now during a pandemic.

Additional resources that students can use to help them calm their anxious thoughts, regulate their breathing and focus, and provide them with a way to diffuse their stress through different options would be go a long way for students today.
